Rectifying Stop Error Messages in Windows Server 2003

A STOP code is a hexadecimal number (usually prefixed by 0x) that uniquely identifies a STOP error message in Windows NT based operating systems. One of the main reasons responsible for the occurrence of STOP error message can be “delayed write failure.” This failure generally occurs when the system is unable to write anything on the hard drive. Two main outcomes of occurrence of STOP error message are unbootable system and data inaccessibility. In such situations, you need to restore your data from the latest backup. However, if no backup is available, then you need to recover the lost data by using powerful Data Recovery Tools.

You might encounter any of the below STOP error messages when a Delayed Write Failure event is reported in Windows Server 2003:

“Stop 0xCD PAGE_FAULT_BEYOND_END_OF_ALLOCATION”

Or

“Stop 0x00000019 - BAD_POOL_HEADER”

The first STOP error message mainly occurs when you enable any special pool feature. This feature uses special memory pool for all allocations that are within the specified limit or have specified tag. You encounter any of the above error messages each time you start your server.

Cause:

The above issue primarily occurs when a driver provides a blank device name to Windows Server 2003 operating system when a Delayed Write Failure event is reported.

Resolution:

To resolve the above issue and access the data, you need to take these steps:

  1. Uninstall any new hardware or software from your system.
  2. Apply Hotfix solution by using these steps:

· Install Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1 (SP1) on your system

· After installing the service pack, apply the Hotfix solution provided by Microsoft.

· Restart your computer after applying the Hotfix solution

However, if you still encounter any of the above error messages, then you need to reinstall the operating system. A clean reinstall of the operating system will erase all the previously saved files and folders from your hard disk partition. For absolute and systematic recovery of data after reformatting and reinstalling the operating system, you should use advanced Data Recovery applications.

Such data recovery software incorporate advanced scanning algorithms to ensure comprehensive and orderly recovery of lost data. These recovery software are user-friendly applications as they are designed with highly interactive and graphical interface.
